Alia Mavroforos - Piano & Keyboard Instructor

 

Alia Mavroforos has been teaching piano for 20 years, working with students in Russia, Europe, and the U.S. She currently maintains a private studio in Amesbury, MA, and serves as music director for Trinity Church in Seabrook, NH. Past positions include Piano Faculty Member for local Sparhawk schools and the Seacoast Academy of Music, and Community Music Program Educator at Salem State College. 


Alia earned her Graduate Degree from the Russian State Academy of Arts and Music,  specializing in Piano Pedagogy and Performance.  Her private teaching follows the Russian Method of Piano Pedagogy - a well-established, highly respected approach based on the work of leading music educators Anna Artobolevskaya and Heinrich Neuhaus. 

 

She is also an instructor for Keys for Kids®, the acclaimed group-lesson curriculum developed by music educator Inga Magid.
